Writing a paragraph is just like a.... HAMBURGER!
Writing is not complicated if you just think and organize your ideas using only 3 delicious steps !
Prepare yourself to be surprised... it's super easy!
1. The Topic Sentence is usually the first sentence of the paragraph. It should be a short, general statement which states the main idea of the paragraph.
Examples:
· Most teenagers spend a lot of time on the internet.
· Many students find it difficult to write a composition in English.
2. The Supporting Sentences develop the topic sentence by giving reasons, details and examples. All the supporting sentences in a paragraph must relate to the topic sentence. Do not include unrelated ideas.
3. The Concluding Sentence summarizes the main idea of the paragraph. It restates the topic sentence (in different words).
